Ouattara Watts is a beloved legend in the New York art world. With well over 25 solo exhibitions, the neo-expressionist painter is still relatively unknown to the novice art fan––although, we have a suspicion that’s all about to change tonight, when he debuts his new collection with acclaimed art exhibitor Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld. The Cools will join Stavros Niarchos, Hannah Bronfman, and more, for tonight’s VIP opening. Stay tuned for pictures from the event!
“Vertigo” is Watts’ first US exhibit in almost 5 years. Ouattara Watts is originally from Côte d’Ivoire, France, and currently works out of his Brooklyn-based studio. His most popular works merges music, art, and everyday recycled material, in painted form.
